What is Yoga Print E-mail
Yoga is a tradition with roots in ancient India that has evolved over time to embrace the wisdom of many places and times. It means many things to many people, but for us it is fundamentally a discipline to promote personal transformation. Over time it has split into dozens of disparate systems, but all share roots in the philosophy laid down in the Yoga Sutras of Patañjali, a text authored in India sometime between 200 B.C. and 500 B.C.E. The sutras offer a program of study for the individual seeking unification, or “yoga.”

Mastery comes when the seeker “resides in his true nature.”
